Information technologies and product-service innovation: The moderating role of service R&D team structure

Drawing on the ambidexterity and organizational design theoretical lenses this article analyzes interplay between R&D team structure, firm’s Information Technology (IT) processes deployment innovation outcomes. The evidence presented herein upholds importance of IT structure for strategic decisions to better exploiting capabilities. Concretely, we argue that (centralized vs formalized autonomous) moderates relationship because it influences way in which is utilized.
